Every May, a music festival is held in the city of
Lleida. Hundreds of people from the surroundings and also inhabitants of Lleida are able to enjoy the
concerts that are performed every night for four days. This event takes place
the second week of May, from Thursday until Sunday. I never miss it, it's a way
of disconnecting from the day-to-day.
The festival is located in the huge fields of
"Camps Elisis", where more than three stages provide different kinds
of music at the same time. There's a great atmosphere. You can meet people that
have the same musical taste and share the experience together. In the entrance
there are food trucks full of fast food, so you don't waste time waiting to
eat.
It all begins on Thursday, normally with music of my
home town of Lleida. The bands play a wide range of styles and masterpieces.
You can find concerts of reaggae, pop, rock... to name just a few. On Thursday
and Sunday night some amazing fireworks can be seen from the grass of the
river. Most families bring towels with them and lie down all together to enjoy
the views.
The music festival in Lleida opens the door to all
residents and gives a warm welcome to all visitants. It's an enriching
experience that can't be missed if you are visiting Lleida in May.
